Hello and thanks for stopping by to check out my new blog. I appreciate the company. I'm a wife to my wonderful husband for the past 21 years and a mom to the best teenage daughter.
We live in Michigan - geographically in the "Middle of the Mitten" - on a quaint rural farm. We raise a small flock of sheep - Columbia/Corriedale cross. They are awesome animals producing fantastic white and colored fleece.
I love to be creative. It's a real passion of mine :D I enjoy cooking, knitting, basketry, scrapbooking (Go, Cricut!!), card making. I don't spin (though I have taken a class and enjoyed it very much); a spinning wheel is a pretty sizeable investment and I'm not sure I would really get my money's worth out of the purchase of one so I'm waiting on that. I usually skirt (clean up) the fleece and take it to Zeilinger Wool Company in Frankenmuth to have it processed into roving (which I sell by the pound) or have it mill spun into yarn for my own use (sometimes to sell). I have made several projects with my farm yarn. I'm new at the blogging thing so bear with me. Pictures of some of my projects will be posted soon so be sure to check back often.
I also love to cook and will be posting some of my favorite recipes here also. I have some favorites and can't wait to share them with you.
